The world is indeed a football pitch
Two goal posts on either end
One ball on the field
Players of all sizes chase the small ball
But no one seems to score
The goal seems inconspicuous
The referee is at the heat of the game
On one goal post we have the humanists
The Christians are defending the other post
Who is playing a fair game?
They say my thoughts are odd
They say I am only haunted by hallucinations
But, without a poet all is dead
For he is the owner of the pitch
